The following are the
guidelines to prepare the mini project report.
1. Project
Report should be typed neatly only on one side of the paper with 1.5 or double line spacing on a A4 size bond paper. The
margins should be Left : 1.25, Right :1.25 , Top: 1 Bottom : 1. The total number of copies to
be prepared are : n where n= Number of students in the batch + 3( One Guide
copy + One Department Copy + One Library Copy)
2. Font Size : 12 Times New Roman
3. Headng Size : 14 Bold. Sub Headings
should be left aligned and should be 12 Bold.
4. Page numbering : Every sheet of the
page must be numbered. All preliminary pages(pages before the body of the text) such as
Abstract, Acknowledgements and table of contents should be numbered lower case
Roman Numeral (i,ii,iii,iv etc). The main text pages are to be numbered in
Arabic numerals (1,2,3 etc). The page number must appear at the bottom center
of every page.
5. The
report must be fully justified.
6. Before taking the final printout, the
approval of the concerned guide is mandatory and suggested corrections, if any
must be incorporated.
7. Every
copy of the report must have
a. The
number of pages should not exceed 60 - 100 pages.
b. The
Book ( Color : Light Blue)
c. Should
have the certificate both from the college and the organization in which the
project is carried out.
d. An
empty page should be placed at the end of the document.

iv. Software and Hardware Specification
v. System Design ( Should have the diagrams such as Design of the classes, design of the methods, design of the data bases (Tables),… etc)
vi. Implementation. – Give one or two pages of sample code…(Including technology description).
vii. Testing ( Should include how the modules are tested such as using the cyclomatic complexity etc )
viii. Sample Screens
ix. Conclusion & Future scope
x. References : The references should be :
For Books : Authors Name , Intials, Year of publication, Title Edition,Publication
For Web: The complete URL.(SHOULD NOT INCLUDE SEARCH ENGINES SUCH AS Google.com etc. )
